PHILIP PARNAMETS - NYU Social Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow
Philip completed his PhD in cognitive science at Lund University and has spent two years as a postdoc with the Emotion Lab at Karolinska Institutet. His research is grounded in a broad interest in the cognitive and computational mechanisms underlying preference change, decision making and learning, especially in the moral domain. In the Social Identity and Morality lab his work focuses on dynamic models of social learning about moral agents and of moral choices generally. Philip spends his spare time creating, listening or dancing to electronic music.

Our Alumni
We are extremely proud of the track record of success for the students and postdocs in the lab! For example, over two dozen PhD students and Postdocs from the lab have landed tenure track jobs in psychology (including Stanford University, Northwestern University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Southern California, Rutgers University, Brooklyn College, SUNY--Stony Brook, Cornell University, University of California-Santa Barbara, Colby College, University of Washington, Tacoma). However, a couple of students have decided to pursue non-academic jobs (including Google, Facebook, United Nations, and the Neuroleadership Institute). Many others are currently at postdoc positions (one is currently at University of Pennsylvania another at University of Michigan, and others have secured postdocs at Stanford, Yale, and Princeton). We also regularly host conferences with our lab alumni at our NYU Florence campus (see above pictures) and plan to do this every few years to connect our community of scholars.
